Whether you just starting out in life or if you have been in the industry as an experienced carpenter, we have positions for all skill levels.  We have a labor crew; carpenter helpers; carpenters and lead carpenters.  We at Ascension Builders Grapeland Tx  and Palestine Tx not only work with wood but we also work with metal structures, as well.  We do all of our own cabinetry work, no pre-order or pre-fabricated units.  We custom build to suit the premises, that way every available space is utilized and uniquely crafted to your style of home and liking.

Ascension Builders, Grapeland TX and Palestine TX is one team comprised of several other teams.  We are looking for team players to work together to produce top notch work and customer service.  We feel that every member of the team is valuable and every member keeps the wheel greased, so to speak.  Strong moral character is a must, as our company is built on the rock and not on the sand. 

The Team Labor Crew is responsible for keeping the jobsite clean and clear of trash and clutter.  These members also assist the carpenter helpers as well as the carpenters by getting the tools they need or materials when requested.  Also, a certain level of fitness is required as you will be in the outside elements and physical labor exerted by toting materials. This position is for the individuals who is just starting out in life or have not yet homed in on a particular skill set.  Wanting to learn the industry? No problem,  the right individual with the right mind set to learn and grow come along, we will be happy to teach and help further your placement within our company.

Team Carpenter Helper is responsible for directed assistance of the carpenters.  They will need basic knowledge and use of power and hand tools.  The ability to read and use a tape measure is a requirement for this position. A certain level of fitness is required as you will be in the outside elements and physical labor exerted by toting and handling materials.  Carpenter Helpers are required to have their own hand tools for everyday use.  Aids in the general tidiness of the jobsites. Should the right individual with the right mind set to learn and grow comes along, we will be happy to teach and help further your placement within our company.

Team Carpenter should be able to be shown a job and construct with guidance or minimal guidance.  Proficient with the use of power; hand tool; use and reading of tape measure. Carpenter needs to come with own hand tools.  Must have a teachable personality and be able to get along with others in a respectful manor.  A certain level of fitness is required as you will be in the outside elements and physical labor exerted by handling materials.  Aids in the general tidiness of the jobsites. Should the right individual with the right mind set to learn and grow comes along, we will be happy to teach and help further your placement within our company.

Team Leaders should be able to be shown a job and construct with minimal guidance.  Have leadership qualities to lead with positivity, structure, and respect for the workers around him, while keeping a steady pace on the jobs.  Communication skills are a must when working with every member of the team, as well as being able to communicate with management and when the need arises, be able to effectively converse with the customers while on the job.  This person is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work space/site at all times. A certain level of fitness is required as you will be in the outside elements and physical labor exerted by handling materials.  You too will aid in the general tidiness of the jobsites. Should the right individual with the mind set of wanting to learn and grow come along, we will be happy to teach and help further your placement within our company.

Last but not least all our workers no matter the team or bracket you fall under we all dress to impress, and no we are not talking about a full suit and tie. By dress to impress we mean look as presentable as possible we arriving to work. We know throughout the day you get sweaty and dirt, that’s a given on a construction site, but you can at least show up clean, presentable, and put together. We love a confident, fabulous, go get’em attitude.  As well as a happy spirit, and the want to grow, learn, a love for your job. Good attitudes make for a peaceful and happy work environment. Respect is also a big thing for us here at Ascension Builders, LLC. Not only do we want you to be respectful towards your crew, but also towards our lovely customers. After all we do have them to thank for the work opportunity.
